Paper Road is a Victorian-based magazine with a team passionate about creating a safe and inclusive community of artists in our regional areas. Knowing what it is like to be emerging writers and building skills within the arts community, we wish to foster a safe community that celebrates the arts and champions the power of creativity. Jordyn Presley: Managing Editor

(She/her)

Jordyn is a regional Australian creative writer with an interest in disability advocacy and the myriad of ways to represent lived experiences of incurable illnesses and invisible disabilities. She has been published in Kill Your Darlings, Tulpa Magazine, the Salty Tales Anthology, and the Where the Weird Things Are Volume 2 Anthology. Jordyn is an avid reader, writer, optimist, and crocheter, and completed her PhD in 2025, investigating the ethics of representing relational illness and disability narratives. She is passionate about creating space for emerging artists and regional Victorian voices. Building a foundation with a team of close friends, Jordyn is excited to pave the way forward for Paper Road and is grateful to be in a role that allows her to challenge herself and gain further editing and leadership skills.

Bianca Bedford: Editor and Artist

(She/they)

Bianca is a creative writer with a background in life writing and creative non-fiction. Bianca holds a Bachelor of Arts (Humanities) and completed an Honours in the same field at Federation University Australia. As a queer woman, she is passionate about writing, equal opportunity and representing the LGBTQIA+ community. Bianca is the artist behind the Paper Road floral designs, and works in collaboration with Paper Road’s Art Director, Jasmyne, to design and create visual artwork for the magazine. As an editor and artist, she hopes to advocate, inspire, nurture and provide a platform to the voices of emerging writers and artists.

Jasmyne Tzitziras: Editor and Art Director

(She/they)

Jasmyne is a writer who graduated from Federation University with a Bachelor of Arts. She majored in creative writing where she met the other founders of Paper Road. She is a queer woman who grew up all around rural Victoria and comes from a low socio-economic background. Her passions lie in creative writing and art, and has had work appear in Tulpa Magazine. She hopes to encourage and guide new creatives through her role at Paper Road.

Nyalat Pel Kun: Submissions Manager

Nyalat is a proud Nuer woman who lives and works across the unceded lands of the Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Peoples. She completed her Bachelor in Business (Human Resource Management and Management) in 2019 and feels fortunate to be gaining experience in the not-for-profit sector. Nyalat is a long-time friend of Jordyn Presley and joined Paper Road because she trusts the team’s vision of establishing a space for regional artists to showcase their work. As an immigrant, Nyalat is passionate about creating a space for the intersection of cultural identity and artistic expression and is honoured to be Submissions Manager for Paper Road.
